Adding a multi engine rating to your current FAA licence can be done very easy. The good thing is that there are no knowledge tests to be completed for this rating. The training can be completed on owner aircraft or my own aircraft (DA42ng SE-MKR).
What are the prerequisites?
Pilot must have a current FAA medical
Pilot must have TSA approval
Pilot must already be a single engine private pilot
What is involved in this course? Multi-Engine training course teaches the aerodynamic differences between the single and the multi-engine plane and provides the proper instruction needed to pass the multi-engine checkride. If you hold a current instrument rating and you want to transfer this across to a multi-engine aircraft then you must also train for, and be tested on, instrument approaches in normal and engine out configurations.
